Account Executive


The Account Executive role is an inside sales position focused on growing our portfolio in San Diego. Compensation package includes base salary and uncapped commission on sales. The Account Executive will research potential clients, analyze their current marketing activities and position Main Path Marketing’s services so that it’s specific to the company’s needs. Once the potential client has been qualified, the Account Executive will schedule a more in depth conversation around strategy and execution of their digital marketing efforts with a Marketing Executive from the MP team.


  • Research target companies utilizing LinkedIn, Salesforce, and other prospecting tools
  • Examine target company’s marketing activities and create a marketing proposal that answers the question: “Why we are contacting you”
  • Generate digital marketing leads in order to develop a sales pipeline via email, phone and other outbound communication efforts
  • Foster a mutually beneficial relationship with clients by managing ongoing communication and identifying opportunities to upsell into existing accounts
  • Communicate the value of Main Path Marketing’s core service offerings and stay abreast of changes in the digital marketing landscape


  • 1-2 years’ experience in digital marketing, specifically within one or more of the following fields: content marketing, SEO, paid search, email marketing and display marketing
  • Proven knowledge of Digital Marketing terminology is critical as this person will be speaking with marketing and business executives and must be able to effectively communicate Main Path’s offerings. Knowledge of the following is required:-CPC, CPM, CPA, CTR – what these metrics mean for a business and how they’re measured

    -Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Bounce Rate, CTA, Impressions, Inbound Link, Keyword, Organic Traffic, PPC, Unique Visitors, Meta Tags, Display, Retargeting, Landing Page Optimization

  • Charismatic personality and the ability to build a rapport with clients
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or other advanced degrees
  • Must be able to perform the basic functions of the job which include the ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
