VP of Business Development


Main Path Marketing is a leading digital marketing agency that provides enterprise level marketing solutions to small and mid-sized businesses. Main Path employs experts in many of the most highly sought after digital marketing specializations including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, email marketing and more. Our services enable clients to leverage the skills of a full digital marketing team of experts to achieve their marketing goals.  


Main Path is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to expand our sales efforts. In this role, you will present Main Path Marketing’s product offering to small and medium sized businesses. The goal of the VP of Business Development will be to sell digital marketing services with monthly recurring revenue in a retainer model. This is a consultative sales process that seeks to assist small and medium sized businesses excel in digital marketing disciplines like content marketing, SEO, paid search, email marketing, and display marketing.  

We are looking for someone who is an amazing player who can transition into a coaching role. Main Path Marketing is backed by private equity funding and has plans for national growth. This provides the opportunity for hiring and managing a team after initial performance goals are met.  

With outside investment from private equity and access to additional funding when needed, Main Path Marketing will be expanding its operations to multiple cities over the next few years. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting company poised for hyper-growth.  


  • Develop a sales pipeline to build a portfolio of digital marketing clients
  • Successfully onboard clients and continue relationships with Main Path’s marketing executive team
  • Serve as ongoing liaison with existing clients and foster upsells while building long lasting relationships
  • Grow relationships with key channel partners
  • Display knowledge of Main Path Marketing’s core service offerings and be abreast of changes in the digital marketing landscape


  • 10+ years digital marketing sales or business development experience from an agency perspective
  • Strong experience with a consultative sales process that includes a needs analysis on the prospective customer and focuses on selling solutions to identified digital marketing problems
  • Existing channel partner relationships with strategy agencies, web design and development shops and enterprise class digital marketing providers
  • A hyper-focused work ethic that excels in a goal oriented environment
  • Charismatic personality and the ability to build a rapport with clients
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or other advanced degrees
  • Must be able to perform the basic functions of the job which include the ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
